Super Easy Oatmeal Protein Cookies
These protein cookies are remarkably simple – just 4 ingredients to start: oats, ripe bananas, your favorite nut butter, and protein powder. While you can experiment with additions like dried fruit or chocolate chips, the core recipe relies on these essentials.
Typically, I incorporate things like chopped apples, raisins or nuts—but always begin with oats, protein powder, ripe bananas, and frozen bananas for a quick treat. Freezing overripe bananas ensures you’re ready to bake whenever
Ingredients you will need:
2 ripe bananas
2 cups old fashioned oats
2 scoops of protein powder of your choice (I personally use chocolate flavored powder, but you can use any one you like)
2 table spoons of peanut butter (any other nut butter will do as well)
– Optional: You can also add some cinnamon for taste or dark chocolate chips.
Preparation:
– Peel and mash the bananas in a mixing bowl until you get a smooth paste. Add the peanut butter and the protein powder and mix them all together.
– Add the oats to the mixture as well as the other, optional ingredients.
– Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and while you wait for it to heat up, line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Scoop the cookie dough with a large spoon or an ice cream scooper and place it on the sheet. Flatten the balls you got on the sheet to make them get a cookie shape.
– Bake for 13-15 minutes until the top of the cookies gets slightly dark(ish). Allow the cookies to cool down.
Nutritional value:
The whole mixture has around 1300 calories, 190g of carbohydrates, 78g of protein and 33g of fat. Depending on the size of the cookies formed ( I usually get 12 cookies), one cookie has approximately :
– 108 calories,
– 15.8g of carbs,
– 6.5g of protein,
– 2.75g of fats.
Enjoy your healthy treat !
