Weekly Photography Assignment: Animal Faces
Each week we’ll be giving you a theme that you can submit a photo for, and we’ll choose our favourite to be featured on the Nature TTL website. Participating in these assignments will be a great way for you to encourage yourself to push the boundaries of your photography and improve together as a community on the website. Week 246: Animal Faces Our theme this week is Animal Faces, and we’d love to see what fantastic images of wildlife faces you can take! There is so much that can be communicated in an animal’s facial features. Perhaps you will choose to focus on the eyes of a bird, or capture the inquisitve expression of a mammal that turns to look your way. Look for unqiue ways to capture their characters in a portrait, and above all, have fun doing it! Whether you’re a seasoned nature photographer, or are new to the genre, the options for awesome portraits of animal faces are endless, and we can’t wait to see what inspiring images you can create. Here are some tutorials to help you: To enter your photo to this assignment, add it in the comments below this post. Last week’s winner Last week’s theme was Signs of Autumn– and our favourite image this week is: This week’s winner is this image, captured by Parham Pourahmad. We love the careful composition of this photograph, that allows the bird to be in focus. The use of colour is beautiful and brings our eye into the brighter, sharper subject. There is a sense of movement captured too in the water ripples and a calming, artistic effect achieved from the reflection. Well done, and thank you to all who entered!
