In order to meet demand, United will fly nonstop to more than 100 international destinations this summer, including close to 25 brand-new routes. Last summer, demand for international travel surged as the majority of countries around the world dropped all restrictions and returned to normal travel. However, this led to travel delays and meltdowns, especially in Europe, as airlines struggled to accommodate the sudden bounceback of travel. Anticipating even higher demand for international travel this summer, United has expanded its international flight coverage by 25% and introduced new routes from the following cities: Newark On March 25, United launched daily nonstop flights from Newark, New Jersey (EWR) to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It’s the only U.S. airline to offer nonstop flights to Dubai from the U.S. On May 27, daily flights to Stockholm, Sweden will resume for the first time since 2019, making it easy to hop over to this beautiful Scandinavian capital this summer. And on May 31, United will introduce three times weekly flights from Newark to Malaga, Spain, just in time for the summer season.
