"Solo Leveling" Official Game Reveals Special Web Novel About Sung JinWoo's Past
Did you know that the highly successful Korean webtoon "Solo Leveling" is getting a game adaptation? Helmed by Netmarble, this official adaptation will be called "Solo Leveling: ARISE", and fans all over the world could not be more excited for its release. For those who might now know, "Solo Leveling" is set in a fictional world where chosen individuals called "hunters" battle against monsters to save the world from destruction. Our protagonist is Sung JinWoo, dubbed “The Weakest Hunter of All Mankind", who suddenly gains the special power to indefinitely level up his abilities. Thus, the title, "Solo Leveling". It is scheduled for release in 2023, and so far, an official promo video and live posters have been revealed. In addition, gameplay videos from what we imagine is the beta version of the game have also been uploaded by players, and as far as we can tell, it already looks fantastic, to say the least. With an absent father and a sick mother, Sung JinWoo knew he had to do something. The web novel, with posts released on the 2nd and 4th weeks of every month, will explore this part of Sung JinWoo's past and trace the birth of "The Weakest Hunter of All Mankind". Besides Sung JinWoo, special chapters about the backstory of other main characters like Baek YoonHo and Cha HaeIn are also being serialized. Together, they're called the "Secret Files" series.
