Does positive action lead to a happy, fulfilling, and successful life? The key to achieving this is a positive lifestyle. This starts from the inside out. A positive state of mind makes it easier to have better health, improve relationships, enjoy happiness, and have inner peace. A positive state of mind also allows you to make everything ebb and flow easier on a day to day basis with less stress and less friction. While positive thinking is the first step in a positive lifestyle, it is far from all that is needed.Positive ActionPositive thinking can help make changes that will benefit you in many ways; however, taking positive action is really the key to changing the way you feel inside and out for the long-term. Positive action can be done in a multitude of ways. Below are some easy and effective ways to bring about positive action.Decide to DecideMake the decision to start making positive action in your life. Set a date to decide what focus your first positive actions will be on. You don’t necessarily need to start making positive action on that date. However, that date should be used to set-up your positive action game plan.Practice Gratitude Too often we forget to look around and simply smell the flowers. We have a great many things to be thankful for and we spend far too little time showing our appreciation and gratuity for them.Positive action step number two is to practice gratitude. Some quick and easy ways to practice gratitude are listed below.Send or give a thank you note: This can be to a coworker, a local store shop owner, the mailman, or someone in your familyShow genuine interest: Take notice of what someone is wearing, what paperwork or book they are holding, or something else specific about them. Show them that you care about who they are or what they like.Say please and thank you: This sign of respect and kindness goes back to kindergarten however it is sorely underused in the adult world. Practicing kindness consistently is an easy and effective way to show others you appreciate them.Bring food: Everyone loves a treat, especially when they are free and there is no cleanup. You don’t need to host a fancy dinner party (though you could if you wanted to). Try whipping up a batch of brownies, a loaf of apple cinnamon bread, or just a plate of cookies.Give More Be ever present in each moment and learn to open your eyes and heart to those around you. Try to understand what they are currently going through or experiencing and help in any way possible.Whether that be helping a coworker with an upcoming project, spending quality  time with someone who needs it, collecting toys for a local toy drive, or mowing the lawn of an elderly neighbor. Whether it be a small or large gesture, any gesture to help others is a positive action that will help others.Foster & Develop Business RelationshipsSuccess in business is much like success in other areas. It develops by making connections with others. Not only making connections with others but fostering those relationships by what you can give and receive from them. Take positive action by spending time developing business relationships. This will allow you not only to help yourself but will allow you to help others.In order to live a truly positive lifestyle, you need to go beyond positive thinking and make an intentional effort to take positive action. Positive action can be as small as giving a smile and wave to a stranger or as big as going to another country on a mission trip.
