What has caused this seemingly sudden rise in tarot’s popularity?

I believe there is a strong correlation between tarot’s positive reception and the declining rate of religious following. People all over the world, especially young people, are evermore mistrustful of religious institutions.

While people who are jaded may believe that the ultimate purpose of religion is conformity, for many generations, it also served as people’s gateway to their own spirituality. Spirituality is a crucial part of human evolution and emotional well-being. It’s a foundational pillar to our sense of purpose and it’s also an important aspect of self-love.
