Wing feathers narrowly and indistinctly edged with white. They can be found in deciduous and mixed forests, and open woodlands and suburban areas in winter. They range from Alaska east across Canada to Newfoundland, and south to northern California, northern New Mexico, Missouri and northern New jersy. Winters south to Maryland and Texas. Kensington Metropark, Livingston County, Michigan.
