Bullying Allegations Roundup: (G)I-DLE’s Soojin, A Pink’s Chorong, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, The Boyz’s Sunwoo, Shim Eun Woo

While I’ve been a bit busy over the last couple weeks since the last roundup, there’s been a bunch of updates on the bullying front. —— (G)I-DLE’s Soojin: After being called out, Seo Shin Ae stated clearly that she was bullied for two years. Another bullying allegation emerged and a classmate testified that Seo Shin Ae’s statement was true. Additionally, a member of Soojin’s alleged bullying group reportedly apologized to a victim. A Pink’s Chorong: Took legal action for defamation and attempted coercion against a person allegedly threatening her with false claims. Accused of school violence, plans on responding with legal action for false allegations. Plan M reiterated their stance that the claim was false and they would be taking legal action. The accuser responded that Chorong changed her story and also released pics of Chorong drinking underage. Chorong responded by admitting to underage drinking but denying the violence. The accuser then released an alleged transcript of a convo with Chorong where she allegedly acknowledges her role in the violence. Play M responded by saying the transcript was distorted and partial, and denies that Chorong admitted to violence, saying they have recording of their own. Shim Eun Woo: Despite initially vaguely denying bullying allegations, the sister of victim pushed back, and she now admits to the bullying and apologized, The Boyz’s Sunwoo: Accused of bullying, the accuser now recants their allegation, explaining that he believed rumors and repeated them as their experience. Cre.ker Entertainment states they will show leniency. SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu: In a final update, Pledis Entertainment says they got in touch with another accuser. While they remember events differently, Mingyu apologized for any unintentional harm, and both parties agreed the matter was settled.
